Bio

Stephanie was born and raised in the aggressively suburban St. Louis County, where she attended both experimental and traditional schools.  Her writing career began in the sixth grade, when she wrote horror stories to terrify her peers.  In high school she spent study-hall writing rather than studying.

When she was eighteen Stephanie traveled four hours Northwest to attend Truman State University, where she majored in both English and Theatre.  After a brief stint in England she left the Midwest for warmer pastures, and earned her MFA in Creative Writing at Louisiana State University.  It was in Baton Rouge that she found her sense of place.

She is currently living and writing in St. Louis, and pining for her lost Louisiana.
